* Tomorrow’s Sorrow *
(Requiem for Death of a Child)

If I should knock and you’re not here
Your smile to greet, with your good cheer
To hold my hand, to hug me near
My heart will break, my eyes will tear
When tomorrow comes without you.

The day you came into my life
How could we know your life of strife
Yet entertain and act the part
To fill our hearts, unique your art
When tomorrow comes without you.

A child to die, for that to be
Beyond compare, a part of me
The days, the months, with joy you brought
I fought the thought, am now distraught
When tomorrow comes with out you.

So many things we didn’t say
Express our love in words portray
These years, they flew, you always knew
My love for you remains so true
When tomorrow comes without you.

This life, our gift, precious treasure
Love to share in no small measure
Forever be, always my friend
Together blend, never to end
When tomorrow comes without you.
